The countdown continues...

What a weekend! The 3 week mark came and went in the blink of an eye. It just seems like time is flying by! Although when you are moving at warp speed 24/7 it is hard to take time to actually think.

Friday night we sat down with the Strand fam to taste loads of wine. Unfortunately, the cheapest bottle of wine that our rehearsal dinner venue offers is $38. I like my friends and family a lot, but I will not serve them $38 bottles all night. So we did a little taste test of some more affordable options. I think we ended up sampling 12 or so bottles of wine (I don't think we actually finished any of those bottles which is a very good thing). The good news is that we made our selections and everyone has some yummy drinks to look forward to.

Saturday Scott headed down to 49ers Training Camp while I sat in a chair for 2.5 hours getting my hair and make up done. You know, just a typical Saturday. Ok, it was actually another trial for the wedding. Once he was finished I was pretty much ready to just pick up my dress and head to the church. I know I need to relax and enjoy the next few weeks of planning and celebrating but I am just ready!!!!

After our morning activities there was a trip to Costco, Office Max and the craft store. Hopefully some of our last big wedding errands checked off the list. Of course, there was no stopping there. After dumping out all of our goods in the guest bedroom (good luck finding the bed when you get here, mom) we were headed down south for Aaron and Robert's 40th birthday party.

Whoa. There must have been something in the peninsula air that night because Scott and I both had a fire in us. Apparently we were practicing for the wedding because we put on quite the dance show. First I ended up in a "Thriller" dance off with Aaron's brother-in-law and then Scott joined in for a few songs. Then we realized we were the only ones dancing. At least we know how to have a good time! Maryam and Karina put on an incredible party...I really should have had them plan the wedding! PS-Chrissie was our DD so we were in good hands!

THRILLER.

Sunday we rested. NOPE! Scott got up far too early and went golfing and then drove down to meet me and the Strand Fam at the Ackley's. It was a GORGEOUS day down south and I worked very hard on my tan for the wedding. I doubt it will last three weeks but maybe with a tad of maintenance it will stick around. Thanks Ackley family for letting us float around in your pool with excellent company!

Look at that fog rolling over. It was nice to escape the foggy city for a day though! Note to all wedding attendees...summer in San Francisco is a very special time of year where the sun doesn't shine, the wind blows, and it is generally just cold. Pack sweaters, jackets, pants and maybe even some mittens. seriously.

Whew. I need a nap just reliving the weekend excitement. Not many days left but we are making sure to jam as much as is humanly possible in.

25 Days

Time is starting to fly. I had the realization on Monday that we only have three weekends left until the wedding! I should probably start doing some of those items that are in the, "they are small and they can wait" column.

This past weekend we knocked one item off the list-wine selection. It was pretty rough to have to try lots of yummy wines from around the world on a Saturday but somehow we made it through! We did some pretty good work and, I believe, settled on some great wines for the wedding.
My kind of Saturday

We got a bit of a kick out of the name of the room our reception will be held in. It's like they knew Arnold P"al"meranian (haha-get it) was in our life!

But, let's rewind to Friday. We went to our first Giants game in FAR too long. It was nice to be back in the stadium with beer and hot dogs (yep, no wedding diet on weekends). We lucked out and were able to join some friends up in one of the suites. Free beer=even better!
Hank, Kyle and Scott (it was orange Friday-I think only Hank got the memo)
Cousins (by the way, my hair is out of control...I can't wait to chop it!)!

Ok, back to Saturday. After some time at the Presidio Cafe we invited ourselves to the Strand Fam's house. We enjoyed visiting with the kiddos and watching Kayla open her first Barbie!

Of course, there was no down time (this is my life we are talking about) and we hopped in the car and headed down to Pacifica for a BBQ at Jeanne and Todd's. It was, of course, a great time. It is always nice to catch up with friends and watch all the kids run around and play.

Sunday we shopped until we dropped. I should mention zero of this shopping was wedding related (well, I did get rehearsal dinner shoes-that justifies 5 hours, right)! Probably not our best plan but it is nice to have some new fashions.

All in all it was a nice weekend, jam packed as always. Seems like that is going to be the theme of our life until we sit down on our plane to Italy. Although, now thinking about, I doubt much will change when we are there...too much to see and do!

Until next week...
