Week 25. 15 to go.

How Far Along: 25 weeks.

Size of Baby: About 13.5" and 1.5 lbs.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10 lbs. Maybe more...another weigh in this week.

Maternity Clothes:  Yep. Same old, same old.

Movement: Seemingly not as much as last week. Of course this had me completely flipped out the first time I realized it and I made it my mission to make him move. Luckily he likes Lola so her flopping down on my belly stirred him right up!

Symptoms:  Starting to get achy hips overnight. Also, I believe my newborn sleep training has begun...sleep is not such a restful event these days.

What I Miss:  Sleeping through the night. I would love one night of uninterrupted sleep. Maybe in a few years?!

Girl or BoyBoy!

**New Field** Baby name hint: I got a request and here we are with a new field. As you all know, I am not sharing the baby name until he makes his appearance in November BUT I am willing to give some hints along the way. At first they are going to be pretty broad but will get more detailed over time. I am excited to hear what people think his name might be. No fair guessing if you are one of the people who knows ;-).

Week 25 Hint: His name does not start with an "R".

Belly button In or Out: Flat. Definitely going to be an outie soon!

Stretch Marks: Nope.

Cravings: No new cravings although I am apparently trying to set a record for most animal crackers consumed in a pregnancy. They are far and away my favorite food...especially dipped in a little peanut butter! Please take note though that I only like ONE kind:

Best Moment This Week: Date night with Scott at the Giants game. It had been awhile since we donned our orange and it was fun to get out on a Saturday night! Plus, I discovered that Amstel Light is only 3.5% ABV. That is pretty much near beer in my opinion. Ok, I know it isn't but I didn't feel bad having just one!

Hodge Podge

Hello...is anyone still out there? I am back in the world of working internet and have a bazillion pictures to tell the story of July. And if at this point all you care about is my weekly pregnancy updates, week 25 is coming tomorrow...just couldn't motivate to put on that purple shirt today (and yes, it will be burned once baby R makes his appearance).

First, we spent the 4th of July in Guerneville, California. Never heard of it? Yeah, neither has anyone outside of a 5 mile radius of the place. It is a tucked away small town that has it's fair share of charm and a lot of missing teeth. That said, we had a nice time relaxing with friends poolside and even ventured out for a visit to a redwood park which was gorgeous.
Scott & AP on our walk. He was still pretty fresh from surgery so he got a lot of rides.
Jammy...not happy about being held...her legs work just fine!
AP spent most of his time relaxing over the weekend.
Driving back into/through San Francisco after the long weekend. What a nice reprieve to be out of the San Francisco "summer".
We have been very busy with household updates. One day we realized that our house was a little bit like a revolving door for vendors, repair men, and delivery people. It would have been very Mr. Mom if I had left Scott here alone!
Crate & Barrel delivery truck.
AT&T repair man. See, proof our internet was acting screwy and I am not just a terrible blogger. The same day as the two above pictures we also had a Sears delivery man and a plumber come out.
Our new kitchen table. The theme of our house is "country coastal"...yes, I made that up...and this table fits in beautifully!
We decided to put the spray paint to work again to transform this mirror for the baby's room.
And viola! New mirror. We are quite happy with the results. Baby R's room is slowly but surely coming together. I imagine September will bring a full reveal.
Aside from all of our housework, we have been out exploring our new neighborhood, visiting friends and just enjoying the summer!

I have made a resolution to take more pictures of Scott and I together. This was at Andalu for Pauby's birthday.

Friends out for Pauby's birthday.

At Mayfield...the DELICIOUS restaurant we discovered in Palo Alto. I didn't do so well with the picture together this night.
Scott enjoying his wine...not that I'm bitter or anything.
Giants Game!
Paisley and Hanna baking us some delicious homemade pizzas! When you come over for dinner, we put you to work!
My most favorite cookies. I found the recipe on the back of the Hershey Kisses packaging and couldn't wait to bake a batch. They are every bit as good as I remember!!!
Well, I think that pretty much gets us up to date. There are lots of odds and ends that I know I am missing but I'm sure you get the idea of what we have been up to. Back soon...

Week 24. 16 to go.

How Far Along: 24 weeks.

Size of Baby: About 12" and approx 1 lb.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10 lbs. I got an extra weigh in this week for my life insurance physical. Lucky me.

Maternity Clothes:  Yes. I got a Rosie Pope dress (on sale) this week that I adore! Note: my legs are not long as this model (sigh) so the dress is not as short on me.

Movement: Definitely. Subtle he isn't.

Symptoms:  Same as usual...nothing new to repot.

What I Miss: Same as usual again...see, I told you we need new fields!

Girl or BoyBoy!

Belly button In or Out: Innie but this puppy is getting flat fast. I don't know that it will ever pop but it definitely won't be an innie for long!

Stretch Marks: Nope.

Cravings: I forgot to mention last week that I finally indulged a craving that I have had since day 1...a Dairy Queen Blizzard. It was a cookie dough blizzard and it was every bit as decadent and wonderful as I had hoped. Looking forward to my next big splurge...Ted Drewe's in August (which blows DQ so far out of the water it isn't even funny)!!!!

Best Moment This Week: Not having a hangover on Monday after our Sunday 8-hour BBQ. That is one thing I definitely don't miss!

Bonus Fact/Thought: Baby R is length of an ear of corn. Even though my belly has finally popped I am still not entirely sure where I am stashing a 1 lb. ear of corn!

**Sorry for the lack of weekly updates about things other than Baby R. We have been having some internet issues since the move that make uploading photos an all day ordeal. Hopefully we will have that fixed today and then I can share all of the fun summer happenings in our new town.

Snoogle

Past, present, and future pregnant ladies...why did I have to learn about this invention while wandering the aisles of Babies r Us?!

Yesterday I discovered God's gift to pregnant women...the snoogle. It is pretty much like bringing another person to bed and looks pretty ridiculous but it is brilliant and cozy and kept me on my side all night. Despite all of the body pillow and regular pillow wedge arrangements I tried I still kept finding myself waking up laying flat on my back multiple time a night. For those that don't know, this is a pregnancy no-no (well, at this point anyway).

While it has only been one night and Scott said I need a full month to give a full review (I think he just hopes it will vacate the premises) I needed to share this wonderful find with you now.

Now I just need to figure out how can I travel with this monstrosity!!!

23 down, 17 to go.

Ok, no one asked for any new fields so you get the same old information again this week!

How Far Along: 23 weeks.

Size of Baby: Just over 11 inches and 1 pound!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10 lbs? I have no idea...stay tuned until my next Dr appt in a couple weeks.

Maternity Clothes:  Still loving them although the amount of stretch in the legs of the jeans makes washing them after each wear a necessity or I look like MC Hammer. Something tells me that stretch will be my friend in the near future.

Movement: Still a dancing baby. You can even see my stomach jump around from the outside now. I have taken to trying to decipher what little body part is doing all the jabbing...so far no real determinations have been made.

Symptoms:  Face, and the crazies are back. Apparently crazy hormonal mood swings are still normal and I won't be crazy for the rest of my life...phew!

What I Miss: Advanced options at Bar Method! I really dislike not being able to pick up both feet in flat back or do L shape. I guess I still have some ab muscles in there because I definitely still feel strong enough for these options!

Girl or Boy: Boy!

Belly button In or Out: Innie but this puppy is getting flat fast. I don't know that it will ever pop but it definitely won't be an innie for long!

Stretch Marks: Nope.

Cravings: No new cravings but I can officially say that my need for dessert every day, every meal, has subsided. I have gained self control back! WOO HOO!

Best Moment This Week: Watching baby R dance around and feeling him more often. However, he seems to do his best dancing at night...hopefully this doesn't carry into his life outside of my belly!

Bonus Fact/Thought: Ok, one new field for random musings of the week. This week I was fascinated to learn that Baby R is getting used to all of the everyday sounds of our life. They say loud noises, like pomeranians barking or the vacuum, likely won't phase him once he is outside of the womb. A great thing to keep in mind so the dogs don't get yelled at too frequently come November!

Bad lighting...real baby bump!

22 Weeks

Seriously, where is the time going? November is going to sneak up on us before we know it!

How Far Along: 22 weeks.

Size of Baby: 11 inches and 1 whole pound!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Let's just go with 9 lbs since there is NO way I didn't gain weight over this holiday weekend ;-)!!!

Maternity Clothes:  Yep. Although I spend little time in real people clothes. Have to love casual summer!

Movement: Definitely. I can now feel him moving all over my abdomen. Had a few kicks up by the belly button the other day.

Symptoms:  My face and I are still doing battle and as of the past few days I don't feel great after a big meal. I think the baby is beginning to encroach upon my stomach's space. More small meals I guess...

What I Miss: An ice cold beer while floating in the pool!

Girl or Boy: Boy!

Belly button In or Out: Innie but this puppy is getting flat fast. I don't know that it will ever pop but it definitely won't be an innie for long!

Stretch Marks: Nope.

Cravings: Nothing new to report here.

Best Moment This Week: Taking this growing belly floating in the pool over the long weekend!

I need some new categories I have decided. Some of these are going to stay the same from now until delivery so I feel like I need some more compelling information weekly. Any requests for a new weekly field?
