Tahoe

As mentioned we spent the past weekend in Lake Tahoe with the Hyland family.  We had a great time relaxing, enjoying good company, good wine, and incredible scenery.  The view from the condo was gorgeous and the condo itself was perfect.
The view of the lake from our balcony.

Scott and I made it up in the early evening and after a trip to Tahoe Daves and Safeway we settled in and got a fire going.
Scott and his fire (the flash made some of the flames disappear)

On Saturday we spent the day at Northstar.  It might as well have been spring skiing it was so warm but the snow was surprisingly nice for the lack of snowfall they have seen.  A little icy in the morning but it slushed up nicely in the afternoon.
Hanna took her first ski lesson on Saturday.  Scott and I headed down to the base a little early and ran into her in ski school.  She was a little rockstar on her skis...the best in the class for sure with her pizza and french fry mastered!
Future Picabo?
Paisley was a trooper and hung out on the mountain all day.  Of course after all that adult time she sure was excited to get her big sister back!

What is skiing without a little apres?!  We all met up and enjoyed some beers and questionable Belgian waffles.
I swear I was on this trip...just behind the camera the entire time apparently!

We cooked up some spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and enjoyed some good wine.  Tommy and Cort brought up some from their Sunset wine club and I found this one particularly interesting:
Clif Bar is making wine.  Apparently they have been doing this for awhile but it was news to me!  It was actually particularly tasty and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good table wine.

We headed home on Sunday and just watched the Super Bowl at home.  While I am not a fan of either team I am a little disappointed that Arizona didn't win.

Today...the job hunt continues.  Better get to it!

Thanks to the Hylands for a great weekend!!
